2014年各大学九月份的招生工作近期已结束, 今年九月大约有50到60名中国学生入读了阿联酋的大学. 作为唯一一家被迪拜教育局认证的中国的留学服务中心, 我们在咨询招收学生过程中了解到了学生关于到阿联酋留学的几大疑问,下面为大家一一作出解答.

1.目前,哪些阿联酋的大学被国内教育部认证.

这个问题几乎是每一个咨询学生必问的问题. 当然, 学生留学要花时间, 精力和财力, 如果所留学的大学回到国内不被认证, 很多学生和家长都认为是不值得的. 中国教育部对外提供了一个国外大学认证信息的网站.学生可以在此网站中查询到被中国教育部认证的国外大学的名单. 目前, 阿联酋的大学没有一所在此名单当中. 然而, 这个名单是不完全的, 有大约70多所世界各地的学校虽然还没有被放在网页上, 但也已被教育部承认. 迪拜卧龙岗大学就在这个名单之中. 想要确认, 最简单的方法就是打电话去教育部学位认证处查询, 他们会告诉你你想选择的大学是否被认证. 迪拜卧龙岗大学前年和去年毕业的3名学生目前已拿到了国内的认证, 认证号为阿联酋0001, 也就是说目前迪拜卧龙岗大学是第一所被认证的大学.

那其它的大学呢? 迪拜有两类大学,一类是被迪拜教育部和阿联酋教育部共同认证的学校, 包括迪拜美国大学, 沙迦美国大学, 迪拜卧龙岗大学, 阿联酋酒店管理学院, 迪拜加拿大大学, 迪拜大学纽约罗撤思特工程学院等(我这里只列举出被学生选择比较多的学校). 这一类大学, 迪拜卧龙岗大学可以拿到澳洲本校的毕业文凭并被国内承认, 迪拜加拿大大学现有的所有专业课程与加拿大本土，北美大学是一致的，该校所有专业课程得过阿联酋高等教育部与加拿大教育部承认。迪拜加拿大大学在读专业课程内除了本地文化课程，其余的课程与学分与加拿大本土大学，北美高校是一致的。在读合格学生可以百分白的无论是和本土大学交换或者转学去加拿大或者北美本土大学。其他一些大学属于阿联酋的大学. 美国大学和一些美国院校有合作关系,  如果打算读书期间转去这两个国家,读这几所大学比较合适. 但学生需要转去和这些学校合作的大学, 因为除了中国学生通常要考虑学校是不是被国内承认外, 也要考虑这些学校是否在国际上被承认. 这几所大学提供的 有些课程的学分是不被美国和加拿大的学校承认的. 如果学生不转学, 毕业时会拿迪拜的学校文凭. 虽然这几所大学还未被中国教育部承认, 但并不是说他们在教学质量上有任何问题. 是否被国内承认是要经过教育部对学校建校时间, 学校的历史, 科研项目, 学校质量, 以及国家之间的建交关系等一系列因素来确定的. 我们相信, 在未来的几年这些大学会一一被国内权威部门进行调研, 并最终得到认证.

另一类大学是只被迪拜教育部认证的学校, 比如英国赫瑞瓦特大学, 英国米德塞克思大学等. 这几所大学都是海外大学在迪拜设立的分校, 学生最后有机会到本校完成学业, 如果选择在迪拜完成所有学业, 毕业时也会颁发学校总部的文凭. 因此,阿联酋政府把这几所大学视为海外的学校, 不受他们的考评, 学校完全依照本校的教程与制度来运行. 这两所大学的总校在英国分别排名大约40名和80名左右, 总校文凭都被国内承认.

对于打算回国发展, 或者在国企工作的学生, 学校得到国内的承认是尤其重要的. 在职称评定时, 雇主会要求你提供国家教育部的学位认证, 否则你的学位是不算数的. 然而, 大部分国内的企业, 私企是不需要学历认证的. 同样, 打算在海外发展的学生也大可不用担心认证的问题. 当然,在应聘这些企业时, 一个稍有点名气的大学可能更为雇主所知.

2.阿联酋的大学排名.

在学生选择学校时, 大学排名是我们常被问到的问题. 到目前为止,阿联酋的大学没有来自当地官方教育部的排名, 不同的网站有时也会给出不同的排名. 作为咨询老师, 我们不能给学生提供错误的信息. 选择大学最好的方式就是和我们预约时间, 参观几所大学. 参观的同时可以和你打算入读院系的教授或系主任见面问一些问题. 每个大学都有一些自己的特长专业, 要仔细了解要学专业的课程设置, 因为即使是同专业, 不同大学也有自己制定的科目和考试方法. 比如: 迪拜卧龙岗大学的本科会计专业, 在完成四年的本科学业后, 如果学生打算考国际注册会计师(ACCA), 就可以减免将近一半的考试科目. 迪拜美国大学的金融与教育专业在行业内具有良好的口碑. 迪拜加拿大大学的建筑设计和伊斯兰金融是强项. 赫瑞瓦特大学的工程和时尚设计专业名列前谋, 等等.

很多学生会告诉我们:”听说某某大学很好, 听说某某大学很差” . 这样的说法并不正确. 很多时候,我们听到学生告诉我们的信息完全是不正确地, 所以在我们评论一所大学时, 如果没有在那所大学上过学, 你是完成不了解这所大学的. 也有时这所大学适合你, 但不一定适合其他学生; 反之也是一样的. 所以在选择大学时要尽量全面的了解大学的情况, 根据自身的条件与情况来选择.

3.老师都来自哪里.

80%的学生在咨询阿联酋留学时, 都会问到学校里的老师来自哪里. 当然, 问题主要是考量老师的口音问题, 学生最担心的就是怕遇上个带有浓重口音的印度教授. 但如果哪个朋友或老师告诉你哪个哪个学校都是欧美老师, 哪个哪个大学印度老师多, 那一定是不求实际的. 由于地处中东地区, 想在大学里雇佣100%的欧美老师是不可能的. 我们负责的十几所大学当中, 除了IMT等印度大学中印度教授比较多外, 其他大学的教师国籍比例基本上都在50%的老师来自英美澳加南非, 30%的老师来自当地, 约旦, 黎巴嫩, 阿曼, 巴基斯坦等其他国籍, 20%的老师来自印度. 但是, 80%的非英语国家的老师有些是在英语国家长大的相当于母语是英语, 即使不是这种情况, 也都是在欧美等英语国家拿到的教师或教授资格, 大部分也都有海外教学的经验, 完全都是非常非常有资格的老师. 只有一小部分的教授英语的口音比较重, 但他们的教学经验是相当丰富的.由于这里是选课制,不同的课程基本上都是不同的教授在教, 有时同样的课程也有两名不同的教授在教. 学生在选课的过程中是有机会了解谁是这门课的教授的, 而且在学生整个上学期间, 会遇到来自不同国家的老师. 所以,我相信在每个大学里, 学生一定会遇到一两名口音比较重的老师, 但大多数的老师都说着标准纯正的英语.

另外, 也有学生提到, 有的大学课程讲得慢, 有的讲得快. 这样说并不准确, 这是取决于每个不同老师的语速的, 并不是大学设计课程讲得慢或讲得快. 所有大学进度是相似的. 为了对各个大学有更深入地了解, 我们会定期参加一些大学举办的公开课. 参加这些公开课可以增加对大学的教学和老师的认知. 这样, 学生在咨询过程中, 我们可清晰地讲解大学里各个专业课程的大致情况.

4.入学要求是否有商量的余地, 雅思达到多少分可以完全胜任学习.

我们在咨询的过程中曾经听到有些学生提到, 他们听一些周围朋友讲这里有些大学在入学时如果没有达到入学要求可以和老师商谈即可入读. 这是完全错误的谣言. 大部分大学本科的雅思要求为5.5到6分, 迪拜美国大学偏高要6.5分, 迪拜加拿大大学要求为5分. 为了鼓励学生, 如果学生的雅思成绩低于要求成绩0.5分, 可先入读大学, 但在第二学期开学前要再次参加雅思考试达到入学要求分数. 这样的规定也并不适用于所有大学. 另外, 一般大学要求学生的高中平均成绩为75分, 如果学生的成绩不够75分, 第一学期为考查期. 如果学生在第一学期内所有学习成绩可以达标即可继续学业, 否则将要修学并进入英语班学习.

很多学生在入读大学前通常会问, 雅思达到多少分可以胜任学习. 这个问题并不容易回答. 根据我自身的经历, 到英国留学时也曾参加过雅思考试, 英国的研究生要求一般都在6.5 到7分, 我当时考了7.5分, 但即使是这个成绩, 在读研究生时还是感到有些困难. 学生到国外留学, 除了英语水平不够外, 还有就是对国外的学习方式和方法不太了解. 首先, 雅思低于6分的学生在上学期间一定在听力和完成书写作业时有一定的难度, 所以即使这里的大学要求5分或5.5分, 学生还是要积极地提高自己的英语水平, 多听多说. 第二, 很多学生在入学后完成老师安排 的essay时遇到很大的困难. 除了英语写作水平不高外, 完全不了解怎样写外国大学里的文章. 在这种情况下, 可以参加大学里的英语补习班, 不光补习英语水平, 老师也会教学生怎样书写这样的文章. 最后就是专业词汇的提高, 学生可以很快掌握日常用语, 但到课堂上像听天书, 其主要原因就是词汇量不够,特别是专业词汇. 因此, 学生要阅读大量的专业课程书籍, 尽快扩充自己的词汇量来适应专业课的学习.

很多学生都非常反感参加雅思考试, 希望不用考试就可入读. 事实上, 虽然雅思考试也需要考试技巧, 但它确实能考查学生的真实英语水平. 复习和准备雅思考试的过程也在很大程度上帮你提高英语水平. 雅思考试阅读部分的文章都是学术类的文章, 比一般文章难, 入大学后很多的阅读就类似于雅思考试的阅读文章. 写作也是这样, 小作文考查学生对数据的总结, 大作文考查学生的辩论能力, 这些都是为入大学做准备. 因此, 不要以为不考雅思或达不到要求就可以入学更容易, 实际上,等学生进入大学后, 英语不过硬才会在学业上遇到更大的瓶颈, 甚至影响到学生以后找工作.

唯一一所有机会让学生免考雅思的大学是来自英国的赫瑞瓦特大学. 这个大学在招收研究生时,根据学生的工作经历会考虑是否让学生免考雅思. 这项规定在英国本土也适用. 如果学生有充足的资料证明自己在英语环境中已工作多年, 英语运用自如, 学校就可能让学生直接入读, 无需雅思考试. 如果学校不能确定学生的英语能力, 通常也会提供面试机会. 学生通过了面试就可无雅思入读. 若没有通过, 学生就要参加雅思考试, 并要达到入学要求.

5.在迪拜留学需要持有学生签证吗?

到目前为止, 阿联酋政府没有规定学生在迪拜一定要持有学生签证, 只要学生持有合法居留阿联酋的长期签证, 例如:子女签, 员工签等, 也可同时入读语言班, 本科和研究生课程. 当然,如果学生需要学生签证, 只要学生入读全日制课程, 学校就会为学生提供签证. 不像欧美澳等国学生签证是由移民局统一签发的学生签证, 阿联酋的学生签证是由不同大学做担保为学生办理的. 因此, 如果学生在学习期间想转去不同的大学, 就要先取消目前在读大学办理的签证, 再由新大学重新担保申请签证. 如果学生在读书期间找到了工作, 学生可取消学生签证, 并由雇主担保办理工作签证.

持有学生签证和其他签证的学生最大的区别就是对选课的要求. 持有学生签证的学生每学期必须选修学校所规定的学科门数, 而其他学生可以根据自己的情况和学习进度来选修课程. 在费用方面, 学生签证为一年的签证,一般第一年在2000到3000迪拉姆之间, 每年续签费用大约为500到1000迪拉姆. 所有大学在为学生办理学生签证时都会收取2500到5000不等的押金. 等学生取消签证时, 押金原数退还. 另外, 办理学生签证的同时, 阿联酋政府要求每位学生都要购买健康保险, 费用在1000到2000迪拉姆之间.

6.毕业后的工作机会.

所有出国留学的学生其最终目的是希望大学毕业后可以很快地找到理想的工作. 我们咨询的学生中, 学生们最爱问的一个问题就是: “老师, 从哪个大学毕业后可以找到更好地工作?” 我确实不知道怎样来回答学生, 我看到每个大学的中国毕业生有顺利找到很好的工作的, 也看到找不到理想工作或找不到工作的学生. 我们很幸运,相比欧美澳加等国, 在迪拜从低级到高级的工作机会有很多. 所以,90%的留学阿联酋的中国学生都可以找到工作, 但找到理想工作的学生人数比例并不高. 主要原因包括: (1)英语水平不够, (2) 在校期间与外国学生和学校互动不多, 人际关系不融洽, (3)不了解大学提供的实行项目(Internship Program) , (4) 没有参加学校举办的工作推荐会(job fair), (5) 对迪拜就业市场不了解, 没有提前关注市场上职位空缺 信息等等.


总的来说, 雇主相对偏好历史比较悠久的大学的毕业生, 因为很多雇主都与这些大学建立了很好的关系, 经常会为学生提供实习机会, 而且只要有职位空缺, 他们会从这些大学进行招聘. 我中心也已与一些单位建立了合作关系, 专为中国学生提供实习和工作的机会. 希望可以帮助中国留学毕业生为找到理想的工作而搭建一个平台.
