早在2020年10月，迪拜就向外国居民推出了为期一年的远程工作签证，签证持有人可以享受所有服务，包括电信、公用事业和学校教育等，该签证的费用为每人1054迪拉姆。

在75个样本城市中，仅有10个城市推出了远程工作签证，其他城市包括萨格勒布、布拉格、里斯本、雷克雅未克、塔林、雅典、悉尼、墨尔本和墨西哥城。

墨尔本位居榜首，紧随其后的是迪拜、悉尼、塔林、伦敦、东京、新加坡、格拉斯哥、蒙特利尔和柏林。
