阿联酋当局于周日表示，阿联酋约三分之一的新冠病例是传染性极强的Delta变种。

官员们说，该国死亡人数有所增加，一方面是因为变种病毒的传播，另一方面也是因为人们没有遵守规则，也没有接种疫苗。

根据官方报告，大多数死亡病例都未接种新冠疫苗，比例为94%；而接种疫苗后（依旧感染病毒）死亡的比例仅为6%。

大多数感染病例（84%）都是未接种疫苗者，而住院患者之中，未接种疫苗的人占89%。

住进重症监护室的患者之中，未接种疫苗的人占92%。

在阿联酋发现的最常见的菌株是β菌株，占39.2%；其次是Delta，占33.9%；最后是阿尔法菌株，占11.3%。

阿联酋目前向占总人口71%以上的人群提供了新冠疫苗，占适宜接种疫苗人群的91.8%。

目前，阿联酋的每日病例数已增至2000多例。

当局已经接种了超过1500万剂疫苗，并进行了约5665万次病毒测试。

周四，阿布扎比宣布，已经对所有公交车司机和80%以上的出租车司机进行了疫苗接种。
