周二（6.15），阿联酋卫生和预防部宣布，该国单日新增2127例感染病例，感染总数为601950例。

此外，根据卫生部的通报，还有4人死亡，死亡总数为1734例；另有2094人痊愈，治愈总数为581139例。

截止到目前，阿联酋总共进行了超过5350万次的病毒检测。

周二，一位阿联酋高级官员表示，开斋节假期之后，病例数开始激增。

阿联酋卫生部门官方发言人法里达·霍萨尼博士说，（举办）大型集会和居民未能遵守防疫规则是病例激增的主要原因。

发言人呼吁居民在即将到来的夏季假期中遵守所有防疫安全准则——包括戴口罩和保持安全的社交距离。

发言人补充说，人们必须避免前往人多的地方，即使他们已经接种了疫苗。

阿联酋卫生当局强调，未接种新冠疫苗的居民极有可能感染世界各地不断出现的变异新病毒株。

当局正在敦促未接种疫苗的居民尽快接种新冠疫苗。

“世界上一些国家已经检测到多种病毒突变……但是各国的疫苗接种运动在很大程度上帮助控制了疫苗的传播。”阿联酋卫生部门发言人法里达·霍萨尼博士说。

她补充说，（阿联酋）超过87%的适宜接种人群（16岁及以上）已经接种了疫苗。此外，超过97%的老年人也接受了注射。

截至6月15日，该国卫生和预防部（MoHAP）已接种了近1390万剂疫苗。这使接种率达到每100人141.1剂，位居世界第一。
