阿联酋最古老的二手书店 

不同于大型商场里的灯光明亮，摆放整齐，永远飘着一股新书味道的高级书店。隐藏在Times Square Center 购物中心的二手书店House of Prose是一个低调的存在，很容易就会错过。（同时这家二手书店在Al Wasl 及JLT地区也有分店。）

但爱书之人一旦发现了这个宝藏，相信会深陷其中不可自拔，想着每周都会来上一次，为自己淘一些不容错过的好书吧。

House of Prose最初的老板是迈克·麦克金利(Mike Mcginley)，自1984年以来就在中东生活和工作，那时的阿联酋还不存在二手书店。由于对书籍的热爱者，他实现了开书店的梦想。

开二手书店的初衷是他认为阿联酋居民大多都受过良好的教育，普遍会读很多书，除此之外，阿联酋居民还经常旅行，所以读者会从世界各地买书，并带到阿联酋。但似乎，这其中缺乏一个让书籍流通起来的渠道。于是，House of Prose应运而生。

由于书店特殊的回购政策，House of Prose得以源源不断地拥有新的二手书，并一举成为阿联酋最古老也是规模最大的二手书屋。

要知道在阿联酋买新书可是非常非常昂贵的，动则上百迪拉姆的高价劝退了许多爱书之人。而House of Prose所有的书均价都在5-30DHS之间，可以说非常有诱惑力。且看完后还能再把书卖给书店，赎回一些钱。

说到这家的魅力，不只有便宜的价格，还有书店玲琅满目的各种书籍，丰富性才是这家书店独特的优势。

书店有超过12,000本书，包括小说集，真实犯罪，战争故事，自传，旅行书，儿童阅读故事，语言书籍，唱片CD等等。可以发现许多知名作家的作品，比如斯蒂芬·金（Stephen King），杰里米·克拉克森（Jeremy Clarkson），安东尼·霍洛维茨（Anthony Horowitz）和罗伯特·鲁德姆（Robert Ludlum）。小编在这里淘到了两本喜欢的摄影集，相信你也能找到中意的那一本。

House of Prose经受住了时间的考验，顾客尤其喜欢其独特的回购政策。当买家把书带回来时，书店会返还50%的现金。

淘宝是访问这家书店的乐趣，读者可以在商店里花费数小时寻找自己喜欢的书，这里有舒适的木凳以供大家浏览书籍，给“淘宝”之旅带来了舒适的氛围。所有书籍都是按字母顺序分类的，选购也很方便。但似乎没有发现中文书……

在店里选书的过程中，小编看到很多家长带着孩子过来买书。和店员的交流中，小编得知这家店最畅销的是儿童读物，当然书店也很需要更多的儿童书籍，如果迪拜人的读者家中有闲置的儿童书，也可以拿到这里出售。如果恰好是书店需要的，他们会支付一定的回收费用。
