近日，科威特多地出现极端高温天气，首都科威特城的街道上空无一人，只有电扇在工作。

室外测温器显示，在街道阴凉处的温度是54℃，阳光下最高温甚至达到了74℃。

当地一家建筑公司的负责人表示，由于天气过热，工人们只能下午5点之后再开工，专家预测科威特的高温还将持续下去，然后在七月底达到全年最高值。

网友晒出的视频显示，一辆黑色汽车居然被晒化了，侧面和尾灯完全被晒软，甚至流下了沥青状固体。

当然，这种气温的确很高，但还没到恐怖的地步，仔细观看就会发现，视频中用于测温的是红外测温枪，而不是传统的气温计。

红外测温枪测得的是物体表面的温度，在夏季室外，物体表面的温度比气温高20多度很正常。

科威特所处地区的气候就是热带沙漠型气候，夏季时间长且气温高，高温天气早已司空见惯。
