由于气温太高，导致科威特基本没人在中午外出工作，特别是那些户外工作者，而6月26日科威特首都的最高气温为53.2℃。

科威特是世界上最热的国家之一，夏天的平均气温在40℃以上，路面温度在最热的时候能够达到80℃。

科威特之所以这么热，是因为它是一个沙漠国家，夏天的时候干燥无雨，不仅气温高，而且高温能够持续半年以上。
